All Proceeds Benefit Earthquake Victims in Haiti via Clinton Bush Fund.
Jonathan Ferrara Gallery artist Dan Tague has created a limited edition hand-pulled silkscreen to benefit the earthquake victims in Haiti.
This limited edition silkscreen of 100 was just created this week by Dan Tague in response to the incredible need in Haiti.
Titled, United for Haiti, the print on paper measures 14" x 11". Each piece is signed and numbered, and are priced at $75 each. The prints are available at the gallery located at 400a Julia Street, New Orleans, LA, telephone 504-522-5471; and on the gallery's website.
The price includes shipping if you live outside of New Orleans.
United for Haiti is a three color print that incorporates the national colors of Haiti into one of Dan Tague's well-known folded money prints. Tague's work is in museum collections across the country, including The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, NOMA , and The Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation.
This is a completely charitable effort by the artist and the gallery to benefit the people of Haiti. All proceeds are being directed to the relief efforts.
During Katrina, Dan Tague spent seven (7) days on the roof of his studio with other artists trapped in the floodwaters. All of us in New Orleans were graced by the help of giving people, and now Tague wants to try to do his small part by offering this print to help raise money for people in need.
This is a great way to get a brand new work of art by a well-known artist and help folks in need. Dan Tague is in numerous museums and private collections, and is a featured artist in the upcoming Prospect.2 Biennial. This is his first-ever work with silkscreening and is sure to be the inspiration for future bodies of work.
